In order to record your game and make a YouTube video out of it, you will need a program called FRAPS.
You can download it here. Just download and install. That link contains a fully registered FRAPS so you can use all the features. You can use LoL Recorder but you will not be able to edit the video and post it on YouTube. However, you can record the game with LoL recorder and record it with FRAPS while watching the replay. This will allow for more control of what you record but it will take longer.
Keep in mind, while recording with FRAPS you will need a fairly mid to high-end system so you wont experience too much of a hit to your Frames Per Second (FPS) in-game.
These are my specs:
Windows 7 Ultimate x64 AMD Athon II X3 440 @ 3.0Ghz 4GB DDR3 RAM @ 1600 MHz nVidia GeForce 8800GT OC 1TB 7200 RPM Hard Drive 1280x1024 Resolution (Max Monitor Resolution) 60Mhz Refresh Rate Maxed out in game settings.
While I am not recording I get a full 60 FPS at all times. During recording at FRAPS 50 FPS, I get around 40-50 FPS in game, depending on whats going on.
If you try to record and experience too much of a slow down, try to lower your settings in game. This may help with the recording while still playing.
KEEP THIS IN MIND!
FRAPS uses a large amount of space on your Hard Drive or SSD. A typical game for me ranges from 55-70GB of space. This is massive to most people. Make sure you have enough space at all times. If you don't you will get an error in-game. This FRAPS error will cause you to have to disconnect from the game.
Mess around with the settings and see what's best for you.
As for an editing program, I use CyberLink PowerDirector. This is not a free program, but there are plenty of free options for video editing. Just Google 'free video editing programs for windows'.
Now get to recording these games and share it with the clan!
Here is one of mine
